• Things to do near Bingie

Our holiday accommodation is just two hours from Canberra and 4.5 hours from Sydney

making Bingie a world away from the stress of the city.

This is why we love the Eurobodalla Nature Coast NSW!

    Bingie Beach

    Beach, beach, beach

Take time with those you love

Bingie Corner is close to five beaches within the Eurobodalla National Park. Even in peak season, you'll be lucky to share the space with only a few other families. Honeymoon Bay is the smallest and safest beach for families, while Bingie Beach at Bingie Point (north and southside) is popular with surfers. If there's a strong northerly, head to the south side of Grey Rocks. Whale watching is best in September.

    Tuross Lake

    Tuross Heads

    Village in a stunning setting

It's laid out like Canberra, but you can't help love Tuross Heads. Tuross Lake is great for kayaking or boating, or swimming in calmer waters. Our favourite is fish and chips at The Boathouse where the view of the lake is stunning at sunset. You can hire a boat or kayak at The Boathouse.

Moruya Markets are great for fresh fruit and vegies and local seafood.

    Moruya Markets

    Great farmers markets

Fabulous fresh fruit and veg, seafood, meat, snacks and country crafts make the Moruya Markets a favourite. Every Saturday morning - get in early during holiday periods.

    Mogo Zoo

    Mogo Zoo

The closest you'll get to the animals

A small and intimate but beautifully kept zoo that is at the forefront of animal conservation. We love the tiny monkeys smaller than your hand, and you'll never get as close as this anywhere else to a meerkat or even a big cat. Check out Mogo Zoo.

    The River Restaurant Moruya

    The River, Moruya

Five star dining on the coast

Fine dining has come to the south coast with The River, Moruya. It's a beautiful spot and does lunches as well as dinners to an extremely high standard. Perfect for a long lunch with a bottle of something fabulous. Book in advance.

    Bingi Dreaming Walking Track

    Bingi Dreaming Track

    Well known nature walk

Bingie Corner is a dream location for bushwalkers. Hikers will love the Bingi Dreaming Track (yes, National Parks spell it without the 'e'!) The track goes for 7.5km from Bingie Point along to Congo and includes both bush and beach sections. Check it out here Bingi Dreaming Track.

    Fishing at Bingie

Part of Batemans Bay Marine Park

Bingie beaches are part of the Batemans Bay Marine Park but you can fish from the rocks at Mullimburra Point and signposts at each beach advise of restrictions. You can hire fishing boats at Tuross Heads at The Boathouse and potter about Tuross Lake and Tuross River, where Mark has caught flathead. (see evidence in photo!) Charter fishing is also available from Moruya with Winda Woppa.

    South Coast Seaplanes

It's quite a buzz to take off from the Moruya River - especially if you do it on Saturday Market Day when everyone is watching. Flights range from 15 minutes up to one hour and is great for a special occasion. You get a fabulous view of the long stretches of coastline and parklands. Book with South Coast Seaplanes
